Headboards

I love an eclectic bedroom!  No bedroom sets for me.  Always budget conscious, I feel headboards are far too pricey for what you are getting.

Recently, while meandering through Old Time Pottery, I came across some metal sculptures in botanical styles.
I found three pieces;  two were branches, and a third was a crown-type piece that matched.  I picked up the crown-styled piece and thought--Wow!!!  I could use these to make a headboard! Any Size!!!  King size is always soo expensive!

I hurried home with  my new found bargain--Chest thumping!

Immediately, I began this five minute project, which only required a hammer and three nails!  And perhaps a yard stick. Here is my king size headboard!!!

The metal sculptures were $12.99 each, for a total of $38.97.

You can also personalize the headboard space any way you want.   Some suggestions are:  paint the space, photographs, artwork, decals, or other ideas that make it your own.

Nancy
